Robert is an actor, director and writer and has been running youth workshops for approximately 35
years. Robert has proven that acting workshops are an effective way to teach foreign language
students English. The students benefit greatly by engaging with each other and building
confidence whilst using English language.

He has experience of working with young people through his role as a Drama Teacher at both
Primary and Secondary level. The workshops he provides vary in length and he will provide a
course which best suits your needs.

Robert has experience in taking his workshops to schools abroad and has previously worked in
Spain, France, Italy, Morocco and Japan teaching English through Drama.

With his company Rob Rawles Productions, he created and developed a Shakespeare project
which included directing an all teenage cast in both a live performance and also a film version of
Rikki and Julie, a modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. He is now delighted to be repeating this
project with other schools abroad.

Robert is passionate about working with young people to inspire creativity and encourage learning.
He approaches his work with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. He welcomes the opportunity
to transfer his skills and performance experience into helping teach students English language and
culture in a fun and engaging way.
